PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for controlling printing that prevents interruption of a printing processing due to memory shortage in the case of a reverse order printing processing and that enables acquisition of the exact revers printing result with the minimum labor even when the memory shortage occurs in the case of the reverse order printing processing in a printing controller which generates plotting data for a plurality of pages to be transferred to a prescribed printer according to a printing instruction from an application program and which transfers the plotting data to a prescribed printer. SOLUTION: When no memory capacity for storing the plotting data for all the pages exists, the plotting data is stored by dividing it by every number of page storable within the memory capacity and transferred to the printer by every divided unit in the reverse page order. |
