PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proxy recording device that accepts recording request of a broadcast program. SOLUTION: The proxy recording device receives user's recording requests for broadcast programs and is provided with a recording request information receiving section 102 that receives recording request information, denoting the request for program recording together with program identification information for identifying the program, a program broadcast time acquiring section 108 that acquires the program broadcast time of a program identified by the program identification information, and a request accepting section 128 that accepts the program recording request, when the request reception time of receiving the recording request information by the recording request information receiving section 102 is before the program broadcast time acquired by the program broadcast time acquiring section 108.
