PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency analyzing method and an encoding method for a sound signal which can accurately extract a signal component even when the signal component is present nearby the border between standard frequencies and further perform high-precision encoding. SOLUTION: A section signal is extracted (S1) by setting a unit section for the sound signal and short-time Fourier transformation is used for the section signal to compute correlation with harmonic signals corresponding to respective frequencies set at fine intervals (S2). After the correlation computation, a fine frequency as a peak is selected (S3), the correlation of only the harmonic signal corresponding to the selected peak frequency with the section signal is found by a generalized harmony analyzing method, and a pair of the found correlation value and the standard frequency which is closest to the corresponding peak frequency are extracted as a frequency component (S4). |
