PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant operation support system which can support not only the decision of a plant abnormality cause but also a plant operation procedure for eliminating plant abnormality. SOLUTION: The plant operation support system is provided with an abnormality cause deriving means for inputting state information of a plant and deriving the cause of the plant abnormality on the basis of the inputted state information and an operation procedure deriving means for deriving the plant operation procedure for dissolving the plant abnormality. Both of the abnormality cause derived by the abnormality cause deriving means and the operation procedure derived by the operation procedure deriving means are displayed.
