PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package structure containing two LEDs which can generate various colors of light, is made more compact by reducing the number of package legs, and with not deteriorate in luminous property and the light generated which is visible, regardless of the distance. SOLUTION: The two LEDs 10 and 20 contained in this package structure are packaged in a cascade and emit light of different wavelengths. When, for example, a yellow LED and a blue LED are packaged in the structure as the LEDs 10 and 20 with the yellow LED on the blue LED or the blue LED on the yellow LED, blue light is emitted through yellow light or yellow light is emitted through blue light, and consequently, nonsaturated blue light, nonsaturated yellow light, or white light is obtained. This package structure can be constituted in a unipolar anode/single cathode or bipolar anodes/unipolar cathode package structure. The latter can continuously change the emitted light by adjusting the input voltages of the anodes to be within a certain range. |
