PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To intensify the security of a user when electronically settling a selling/buying transaction. SOLUTION: A temporary password is issued by a credit server 30 for every prescribed period, mail containing this issued temporary password is transmitted to a portable telephone set 10 owned by the user of a credit card, a true password stored in the portable telephone set 10 is updated, and the true password stored in the credit server 30 is updated by receiving reply mail from the portable telephone set 10. In the credit server 30, the true password, which is stored in the portable telephone set 10, inputted to a card reader 20 is compared with the true password stored in the credit server 30. When both the passwords are matched, the user is judged as a proper user and settling processing is performed. |
