PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a SIMM(single inline memory module) socket suitable to realize data transmission within the SIMM socket by serial transmission and to handle mass data with high speed. SOLUTION: This SIMM socket consists of: a portable telephone interface for transmitting and receiving a data signal to/from an information terminal such as a portable telephone set; a storage circuit block for transmitting and receiving the data signal to/from a memory through a memory control circuit; an expansion circuit block for transmitting and receiving the data signal to/from an expansion bus interface through an expansion circuit control circuit; a keyboard block for transmitting and receiving the data signal to/from an inputting and outputting means such as a keyboard through a keyboard control circuit; and a control block which receives supply of a power source from a power source supplying means through a power source control circuit and which is provided with a transmission path for transmitting and receiving data to/from the portable telephone interface, the storage circuit block, the expansion circuit block and the keyboard block by serial transmission.
