PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the height of an entire device by providing the display part of the device on the upper side from a tray opening on a front panel. SOLUTION: A disk driving device 1 has a chassis 2, a pickup holder 3, a clamp holder 4, a disk tray 5 and a disk tray driving mechanism 6. The chassis 2 is composed of a main chassis 21 and a mechanical chassis 22. The disk tray 5 is provided movably downward to a front panel 91 of a casing 9 between a drawing position, where the disk tray is drawn from the casing 9 through a tray opening 92 provided on the front panel 91, and a housing position, where the disk tray is housed in the casing 9, on the upside of the chassis 2.
