PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a CPU, when the image processing apparatus is not in use and to provide a variety of information items to users. SOLUTION: A data reception section 12 receives provided information, sent from a host computer 4 via a network 3, and the information is fed to an information display control section 17 via a data branch section 13. The information display control section 17 gives the provided information to a display section 11, in which the information is displayed. Furthermore, the information display control section 17 stops supply of the provided information to the display section 11, on the basis of start of printing processing and restarts supplying of the provided information to the display section 11 when the printing processing is finished.
