PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor protection cover that can be used for a video camera with a liquid crystal display monitor, also has the function of a remote controller and can be stably attached to/detached from the video camera. SOLUTION: In the monitor protection cover fitted to a camcorder provided with a recording and reproducing section with a medium recordable of a video signal loaded thereto, a monitor section comprising a liquid crystal display device and a camera section for recording photographed information and having a function for protecting the monitor section, projections are formed to a frame placed around the monitor protection cover, the surrounding of the monitor section is provided with a groove engaging with the frame and the projections, so that the protection cover is stably attached to/detached from the camcorder, the monitor protection cover is provided with a remote control operation section and a remote signal transmission section, and the protection cover can be used as a remote controller.
