PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain degrees of freedoms, in the case of mounting without complicating a constitution high and to perform a stable and proper linear amplification with high accuracy, in a distortion compensating circuit for compensating a nonlinearity of an amplifier for amplifying a high-frequency signal to be imparted intermittently. SOLUTION: The distortion compensating circuit comprises an error- compensating means 12 for compensating an error, included or capable of being included in the high-frequency signal amplified by an amplifying means 11 and obtained at an output of the means 11, and a time-counting means 13 for counting a length of a period, in which the high-frequency signal to be amplified by the means 11 is not input. In this compensation circuit, linear amplification is performed by re-inputting the high-frequency signal to be amplified by the means 11, to the means 12 and initializing the characteristics of the means 12 at the period, the time interval counted by the means 13.
