PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station apparatus for a mobile communication system capable of surely performing a directional transmission effect in a base station and obtaining a transmitting power reducing effect of the overall system. SOLUTION: A method for controlling the transmitting power comprises the steps of reducing a transmitting power control value of a down transmitting power controller 109 of a channel to a mobile station 502B immediately after a null control is completed, that is, after the null is formed for the station 502B by an array algorithm controller 105. Thus, a processing delay is eliminated during a period until the station 502B in which the null is directed outputs a transmitting power designated value to the base station apparatus 101, and the effect of the directional transmission in the apparatus 101 can be performed. |
