PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle monitoring system capable of preventing an accident by remotely monitoring vehicle abnormality which is not noticed by a driver by efficiently using the existing road facilities. SOLUTION: A vehicle monitoring control part (MCNT) 11 provided to a vehicle monitoring device (SC) 10 specifies a vehicle and its position (traveling area) from intrinsic information that specifies the vehicle, which is included in state detection information (A), grasps and monitors the abnormal vehicle 20 by controlling a monitoring camera 40 to define the applicable area as a monitoring object, displays and outputs the abnormality contents on a display board 50 installed in the area. |
