PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless transmission apparatus capable of performing synchronous transmission in transmitting a stream such as a video signal by a wireless transmission method such as IEEE802.11 and capable of performing high-quality video transmission. SOLUTION: A transmitting side generates time information based on a value of a beacon timer, adds the time information to a data packet of a video signal, and sends the data packet. A receiving side generates a clock having a higher frequency using PLL based on a timer value contained in a beacon every time a beacon signal is received, and counts the clocks to generate new time information. This time information is compared with the time information added to the received data packet of the video signal, and the data packet is outputted only when both match with each other.
