PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manner mode control method that can automatically set a manner mode to a mobile phone when a possessor of the mobile phone gets on a train so as to prevent a ringer tone from ringing and automatically release the manner mode after the possessor leaves the train. SOLUTION: A channel switching interval time measurement section 41 of a manner mode automatic control means 4 measures a reception channel switching interval times when the mobile phone moves from a radio zone of one base station to a radio zone of other adjacent base station. A criterion setting section 42 sets a criterion reference time calculated on the basis of an average velocity per hour of the train and an average distance between the base stations. A manner mode decision section 43 compares the measured channels witching interval time with the criterion reference time and decides whether or not the possessor of the mobile phone is on board, outputs a manner mode ON control signal when deciding that the possessor is on board and automatically sets the ringer tone so as not to ring. When deciding that the possessor is not on board, the manner mode decision section 43 outputs a manner mode OFF control signal and sets the mobile phone so as to ring the ringer tone. |
