PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a large load put on the parent unit at the correction process of the illumination information before correction, by controlling by each child unit the local illumination information after correction. SOLUTION: An illumination control system, in which a signal is transmitted and received between a parent unit 1 and each of a plurality of children units 3, is constructed by connecting the parent unit 1 through the signal line 2 to the plural children units 3 which have each a brightness sensor 31 and plural illumination apparatuses 30. The parent unit 1 performs an intensive control on the plural children units 3 while each of the plural children units 3 performs an intensive control on the plural illumination apparatuses 30 owned by each. Each of the plural children units 3 calculates the illumination information of its measurement region R by correcting the information from the brightness sensor 31 corresponding to the environment of the measurement region R of the brightness sensor 31 owned by it.
