PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stand for an image display device that can change the set height of the image display device and forward/backward length, so as to effectively utilize space inside a room. SOLUTION: A rear leg 1, a front leg 2 connected to the rear leg 1 closely or apart, and a stationary part 3 fixing the image display device 30 to a base 10 and being supported by the rear leg 1 and the front leg 2 vertically freely slidably configure the stand for the display device, and when the setting height of the image display device is changed, the rear leg 1 and the front leg are closed to or apart from each other, so as to adjust the forward/backward length.
