APPARATUS FOR VORTEX GRINDING OF MATERIALS

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has material feeding unit and cylindrical milling chamber with upper and lower end covers equipped with central opening. Upper and lower covers are made conical, with cone apexes oriented downward. Spiral classifying blades are positioned between upper and lower covers and are curved in material advancement direction. Spiral blades adjoin to upper cover without gap. Lower edge of spiral blades is arranged in spaced relation to lower cover, with space increasing toward central part of chamber. Length of spiral blades is equal to 1/4-1/2 of radius of cylindrical milling chamber. Gaseous suspension discharge unit has two branch pipes positioned centrally of upper and lower covers. Two branch pipes for tangential supplying of energy carrier are arranged in opposed relation on side surface of milling chamber. EFFECT: increased efficiency and provision for obtaining finely-dispersed powders. 2 dwg
