SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of synthesis of alkaline metal xanthogenate by interaction of alcohol with alkaline metal hydroxide at cooling to temperature 26 C, not above, followed by feeding hydrogen sulfide to reaction mixture in the mole ratio of reagents = (0.9-1.1) : 1 : (0.9-1.1), respectively.
