The device for the sealing of bottles and similar vessels has a bottle holding device, the support rod of which, deflecting from the bottles towards the center of a rotor, is vertically guided inside an upper bearing position level with the sealing device and a lower bearing position, and additionally has operating elements for an ejector for unused and/or sealing caps (3). The sealing device with its drive is mounted in an upper rotor plate (16) and open on all sides, and in this rotor plate, and parallel to the spindle axis, is mounted the support rod of the bottle holder with vertical movement capability.
