The DC converter (10) has a control circuit (18) with controlled switches for charging and discharging of a capacitor in periodic operating cycles, the output terminal (20) receiving the capacitor charge coupled to a voltage sensor (T). When a positive voltage is detected at the output terminal the latter is earthed and a charging current circuit for the capacitor is closed, with activation of the control circuit for the periodic operating cycles starting with a discharge cycle when a second voltage sensor (MP2) indicates a given charge voltage.
