Establishing the qualitative and quantitative presence of pharmaceuticals or drugs, in a human or animal body, comprising recovering condensation from exhaled breath and analyzing it, is new. To establish the qualitative and quantitative presence of pharmaceuticals or drugs, in a human or animal body, the condensation is recovered from exhaled breath and taken for analysis. Before analysis, the condensation is filtered through a filter material with a surface which has been modified or not. Before analysis, the condensation passes through an extraction process using an organic solvent, supercritical fluids or modified solid phases, and volatile components are removed by evaporation. Before analysis, protein bonds are separated, and sulfuric acid or gluconic acid esters are separated by a hydrolysis reaction. The residue is analyzed using chromatography, and colorimetry with detectors or biosensors.
