The invention relates to a method and device for deburring the inside of longitudinal seam welded pipes having a retaining arm that, while being located outside of the pipe, is fixed in front of the welding spot in the vicinity of the pipe that is not yet closed. A frame part that can tilt in t he longitudinal direction of the pipe is placed inside said retaining arm in th e end area situated behind the welding spot. The frame part is provided with a shaving tool and with at least one rotatably mounted copying roll and an opening for removing chips. The tilting axis (9) of the frame part (3) is, when viewed on the discharge side, located behind the shaving point (10) at the end of the frame part (3), and a means for adjusting the tilting angle i s located at the front end of the frame part (3).
