Remote sexual intercourse is enabled using mechanical surrogates (10, 35) in the form of human genital components. Pressure and displacement sensors (90, 140, 160) perceive action upon the surrogate (10, 35). Actuators (100) for pressure and displacement enable a second surrogate to mimic the contact imparted on the first. A communication network (25) provides signals between the first and second surrogates (10, 35). |
