The locking unit on a three-plate injection moulding machine comprises a nozzle plate (1), a moving mould tensioning plate (2) and an end plate (3). The nozzle plate (1) and the end plate (3) are connected to each other by means of columns (4) on which the moving mould tensioning plate (2) runs in a displaceable manner. An articulated joint arrangement (5) is provided between the end plate (3) and the moving mould tensioning plate (2), which is acted upon by a drive unit (6). A length-adjustable encapsulating element (13) runs between the end plate (3) and the moving mould tensioning plate (2).
