Suspended solids removed from dental liquid effluent by pump operated float switch

Water effluent from a dental surgery is filtered prior to discharge. The filter has a motor-driven centrifuge with an inlet to a collector chamber (130) especially with a liquid level sensor (160). The sensor activates a pump (30) when a pre-determined fluid level is exceeded. Incoming unfiltered water is introduced to a collection chamber with its particulate solid load and sedimentation takes place. The collector chamber has a float-operated switch linked to the pump which, when activated, discharges the upper layers of water to the centrifuge.
