<p>The invention relates to the field of biology, genetics and medicine and to novel methods of detecting, characterising and/or treating (or managing) neurodegenerative pathologies, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Said invention also relates to methods of identifying or screening active compounds in said pathologies. Moreover, the invention relates to compounds, genes, cells, plasmids or compositions that can be used to carry out the above-mentioned methods. In particular, the invention outlines the role of PDE4B in said pathologies and the use thereof as a therapeutic, diagnostic or experimental target.</p> |
