A filtration arrangement has at least two ring-shaped filters (5) made out of wire mesh or sintered material, with a length to diameter ratio between 2 to 1 and 10 to 1. The filters are held by sealing and support rings (5.2, 5.3) and the flow can be arranged to be in series or in parallel. They can be identical and arranged above each other or of different diameters and concentric. An Independent claim is also included for a spinning pack with such a filter, including a displacement body (6) to guide the polymer flow. The filters (5) have a higher coefficient of expansion than the body (1, 6) so that a seal is formed at elevated temperature. To avoid dead spaces the filters (5) and support rings (5.2, 5.3) are joined by electron beam welding.
