A carton and blank for forming a carton of the top gripping type for accommodating a plurality of containers (A). The carton is tubular in structure and comprises first and second spaced panels (16; 12, 20); the fir st panel (16) having apertures for receiving a container, and a foldable retaining tab (52a) hingedly connected to the first panel (16) for operative ly engaging part of a respective one of the containers. A support structure (30 ) depends from the second panel (12, 20). The support structure (30) comprises an engagement panel (34) with an engaging edge (42a) to engage at least one of the containers and/or the at least one of the retaining tabs to restrict movement of the second panel (12, 20) relative to the first panel (16).</SDO AB>
