<p>Plucking machine for poultry, previously suspended and fed in a continuous cycle along a distribution rail, is intended for their industrial prepn. The machine comprises a number of pliable, deformable endless bands which are driven by coaxial drums and are arranged side by side; they carry 'fingers' of a pliable material, such as rubber. Two sets of bands are arranged in the form of a 'V' and their supports can be adjusted to suit fowls of different bulks. The fowls are suspended between the 'V' from a trolley travelling along a rail in the axis of the supports and between the inclined bands. The fingers act on the plumage and tear out the feathers. The machine operates continuously and is entirely automatic.</p> |
