The invention relates to a method for the co-ordinated dynamic adaptation of the quality of service (QoS) of IP-based real-time services, said method being based on a distributed framework of units that act autonomously (QoS brokers). Said QoS brokers in the terminals and in the network co-ordinate the preparation and activation of resources in the terminals and in the network with the re-configuration of applications and services.
