The detachable re-useable dust seal is for a module consisting of a base with hood, and gap between hood and body panel. The seal consist of a ring-shaped rubber-elastic profiled material corresponding to shape and size of the contact face of the module. It has a profile with outer collar (4) and inner lock. The collar engages positively with an upper lip (4.1) over the outer contour of the hood (3), and covers the gap with a lower lip (4.2). Locking is on the tongue-and-groove principle, with tongue and groove being part of the edge sections of hood and seal profile.
