FIELD: machine engineering, namely combination type apparatuses for combined blade and abrasive working of outer cylindrical surfaces of parts such as shafts. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes cutter holder with cutters mounted in it and abrasive portion mounted with possibility of radial motion. The last includes abrasive blocks mounted with possibility of lengthwise oscillation by action of rocking mechanism. Said mechanism includes disc mounted in thrust bearing assemblies, drum with tapered end and wheels engaging with worked shaft and elastically joined with disc through brackets and springs. Such construction allows to make parts such as shafts with high accuracy and surface quality at equalizing efforts of turning and abrasive cutting. EFFECT: improved design providing possibility for making shafts with high accuracy and enhanced surface quality. 2 cl, 4 dwg
