<p>A digital still camera (1) performs a framing process by infrared-ray image pickup and a still image pickup process by visible-ray image pickup using flash or low-speed shutter. During auto focus, a visible ray source (23) for aiding the auto focus is made to emit visible ray, which is irradiated for performing auto focus. Even under a low lux environment for image pickup in a dark place, this digital still camera can perform a framing process by causing a finder to display an object to be imaged, so that a user can confirm the content to be imaged. Furthermore, even when visible-ray image pickup is performed using flash irradiation and low-speed shutter after this, an accurate focusing can be obtained.</p> |
