Insect screen (2) removably or movably fixed on a building opening, especially a window or a door, is provided along at least part of its frame (21) with sealing elements such as bristles (5) which lie against the frame of the building opening. The sealing elements protrude from the frame of the insect screen at an angle of 20-70, preferably about 45 deg from its plane. Preferred Features: The sealing elements protrude approximately perpendicularly from end surfaces (23) on the outer side of the frame which form an angle of 20-70, preferably 45 deg with the plane of the frame.
