FIELD: electrochemical technological processes, namely apparatuses for preparing alkali and acidic media designed for using for medical and domestic purposes. SUBSTANCE: domestic water activator includes housing in the form of vessel with lid; anode and cathode activation chambers, both having ion permeable diaphragm and arranged in housing; electrodes mounted in respective chambers and secured to lid; DC source arranged in lid and connected to electrodes. Anode and cathode chambers are in the form of separate vessels. Inner volume of housing exceeds total volume of said chambers. Housing is provided with mark for indicating level of buffer layer between chambers. Activation chamber of water activator is in the form of bottle with narrow mouth and perforated lateral surface. Bottle has perforated pressure ring; ion permeable diaphragm is placed between perforated lateral wall of bottle and pressure ring.
