The plate-type component (3) is stuck to the floor group (6) of a car to make it more rigid. The component consists of a first sheet part (1) and a second sheet part (2). The first sheet part has a number of pot-shaped ridges. The ridges are raised by at least 12 mm from the first sheet part, and are welded between the ridges to the second sheet part.
