PRINTED MATTER INSPECTION DEVICE AND PRINTER SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed matter inspection device capable of properly inspecting the printing content and printing state of color printed matter on which different data are printed in a page unit. SOLUTION: The reference image data of the background pattern of printing paper 800 are respectively stored in a memory 133 and variable data at every printed matter is successively stored in a memory 131. Printing image data is taken in from a color camera 121 to be stored in a memory 132 and masked with the reference data of the background pattern in a preprint mask part 140 through a gray scale synthesizing part 136 and only the variable data is converted to image data. Further, the printing image data is masked with the reference data of the variable data of the memory 131 in a variable data masking part 141 to be converted to the image data only of the background pattern. Then, the variable data is compared and collated with the reference data in a first comparing inspection part 142 and the background pattern is compared and collated with the reference data in a second comparing inspection part.
