摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the vibration of an optical multiplexing reflector by uniformly holding the temperature of the optical multiplexing reflector and using a thermally conductive elastic body. SOLUTION: The variable group delay compensator consists of an optical incidence/emission device 2 to propagate wavelength division multiplexed light, an optical multiplexing reflector 8 on which the wavelength division multiplexed light emitted from the device 2 is made incident to carry out multiple-beam reflection, a second lens 7, and a reflective element 4. A light reflecting element 3 which can control a distance to the reflector 8 and reflects the wavelength division multiplexed light emitted from the reflector 8 toward the reflector 8 is arranged. A temperature control element 10 and a temperature sensing element 11 are arranged through the thermally conductive elastic body 12 to portions where the intensity of the wavelength division multiplexed light made incident on or emitted from the surface of the reflector 8 does not fall. A temperature controller 13 controls the temperature of the reflector 8.
