PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonchromate treated electrogalvanized steel sheet which can stably exhibit excellent white rust resistance, and to provide a production method therefor. SOLUTION: The electrogalvanized steel sheet is obtained by forming an inorganic film and/or an organic film which does not substantially contain Cr on the surface of an electrogalvanized layer. In this case, if the treatment is processed so that the surface roughness (Ra) of the electrogalvanized layer is controlled to <=300 nm, the electrogalvanized steel sheet having excellent white rust resistance can be obtained.
