PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for guiding a suspension in a stock dissolver, especially a defective paper dissolver arranged under a paper machine by which withdrawing streams toward sidewalls 3 are formed with a driven rotor in a state of the operated stock dissolver, deflected to about 90 deg. at the sidewalls 3 and then flow along at least a part of the sidewalls 3 and further a method by which rapid dissolution of the paper dropping over the full width is obtained even in a stock dissolver of not rotation symmetry. SOLUTION: At least a part of the suspension flowing along the sidewalls 3 and flowing toward at least one of end walls 5 and 5' is deflected from the end walls 5 and 5' with at least one flow guide device 1, 1', 2, and 2'.
