PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filament machine sewing thread whose defects attributable to the formation of loops and slackness are improved, and which enables the formation of homogeneous stitches while holding the gloss of filaments and has excellent high-speed sewing properties. SOLUTION: The filament machine sewing thread is constituted of a spun combined filament yarn produced by blending a polyester filament A with a polyester filament B having a larger elongation than the polyester filament A, at the spinning stage. The polyester filament B contains 0.5-8.0 wt.% of an orientation suppressing agent.
