PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for evaluating sound based on human hearing sense-brain function system by using physical factors derived from a autocorrelation function varying with time in time region and cross-correlation function of two ears. SOLUTION: Acoustic signal from a sound source is sampled with a microphone and based on the acoustic signal, ACF and IACF are calculated with a computer, that is a CPU. Based on the calculated ACF and IACF, ACF factor and IACF factor are calculated with the CPU. A specific data base containing tone data correlating tone and ACF factor, tune data correlating tune and the ACF factor and psychological evaluation data correlating psychological evaluation values and the sound is constituted in advance. Sound is evaluated based on the calculated ACF factor, IACF factor and data base.
