PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of pitting corrosion, or the like, by reforming a surface of a metal mother die for electroforming when manufacturing the metal mother die by using stainless steel such as SUS304. SOLUTION: In a cylindrical metal mother die manufacturing method, an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical metal mother die formed of austenitic stainless steel is formed into a mirror finished surface of the surface roughness of <=Rz 0.2μm, and the mirror finished surface is work-hardened to Hv 450-550 by blasting spherical shots of the grain size of 20-200μm having the hardness equal to or higher than that of the material of the mother die. Pinholes or dents occur less in a photoreceptor for an image forming device manufactured by the electroforming by using the surface-reformed cylindrical metal mother die, and are very small if occurred, and do not impair the image forming of high quality. |
