PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of lengthening a rod to largely take an opening angle of a hood and increasing longitudinal length of a rod storage space. SOLUTION: This hood opening and closing device of a tractor to provide the rod 42 to support the hood 4 to cover an engine 5 in a state of opening the hood 4 is constituted by providing a revolving fulcrum 42a of the rod 42 on the side of a revolving fulcrum 52 of the hood 4 and inserting the other end 42b of the rod 42 in a guide groove 40a provided on an upper part of the engine 5 free to slide and constituting the guide groove 40a of the fixed part 42b to engage the other end 42b of the rod 42 by arranging it at a high position and a sliding part 40c constituted to be separated and suspended from the revolving fulcrum 42a.
