PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact exhaust gas treating device for a melting furnace in which an influence of change in a quantity of carbon in ash can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the exhaust gas treating device for the melting furnace which performs the secondary combustion of exhaust gas exhausted from the melting furnace, a removing means is provided for removing harmful gas and smoke dust in the exhaust gas exhausted from the melting furnace. A secondary combustion chamber 30 is provided for burning carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas from which the harmful gas and the smoke dust are removed.
