PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cationically polymerizable composition expressing high activity (rapid polymerizability, fast curability) by irradiation of high energy rays and/or heating used in fields such as paints, adhesives, resist resin compositions, sealing resin compositions, resin compositions for optical wave guides. SOLUTION: This alicyclic compound has a (meth)acrylic group expressed by general formula (1) and an oxetanyl group in the same molecule. A radically polymerized polymer of the same compound and a composition containing the same polymer are disclosed.
