PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat cooking appliance which enables precise detection of a finish temperature of an object to be heated with an infrared ray sensor. SOLUTION: The cooking appliance is provided with a heat chamber 2 in which the object 1 to be heated is stored, a magnetron 4 which generates high frequency wave, a wave guide pipe 5 which is equipped with the magnetron 4 and which guides the high frequency wave to the heat chamber 2, a revolving table 6 on which the object 1 is placed, the infrared ray sensor 8 which detects temperature information of the object 1, and a control section 9 where temperature control and the like are performed based on the temperature information detected with the infrared ray sensor 8. In this heat cooking device, the temperature of the object 1 is conducted to a probe 10 by inserting the probe 10 into the object 1 of which the temperature information cannot be detected directly with the infrared ray sensor 8 or by bringing the probe 10 into contact with the object 1, and this temperature is detected as the temperature information of the object 1 with the infrared ray sensor 8.
