PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed circuit board tester, by which the quality of an electronic component mounted on a printed circuit board is decided, can be performed easily and surely. SOLUTION: This tester is composed of an AC signal generating means 9 for applying an AC signal to a plurality of electronic components 3 connected between a power supply pattern 4 and a ground pattern 5 formed on a printed circuit board 1, a signal-detecting means 10 for successively detecting a signal generated by each electronic component 3, and a discriminating means for discriminating whether or not the electronic component 3 is defective from the signal detected by the detecting means 10. Since an electronic component 3, which is defective can be specified easily and surely among the electronic components 3 mounted on the circuit board 1, testing time can be reduced sharply. In addition, repairing time can also be reduced sharply, since the circuit board 1 can be repaired only by removing only the defective component 3, and exchanging it with a nondefective.
