PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce abnormal sound generated in a choking mechanism (6) in a case when an air conditioner or a humidifier in a vapor compression type refrigerating cycle is provided with the choking mechanism (6) at the inside of a room. SOLUTION: The choking mechanism (6) is constituted of a plurality of choking flow passages (6a, 6b,...6n) connected in series between the inlet port side and the outlet port side of refrigerant. In this case, the opening degree of respective choking flow passages (6a, 6b,...6n) is set so that the inlet port side of the refrigerant becomes relatively smaller compared with the outlet port side of the same.
